Well, this is a book that had/has a lot of hype surrounding it. I’m always apprehensive when this is the case because I fear that I’ll be disappointed (yes I’m an awful cynic). I needn’t have been concerned with this one however. I’ll come straight out with it, I loved it! For me it was one of those books that I knew I was going to love within a couple of pages. I was immediately hooked and stayed up too late on more than one occasion because I just had to read one more chapter.

It’s wonderfully engrossing, and even though the story shifts often as Aiden works his way through the different hosts (bodies that he wakes up in), it is easy to follow and not at all confusing. I worried that a tale where the same day is lived over and over may be repetitive but that was not the case here. As the story played out it was great to see all the little details come together, details that you wouldn’t necessarily know to be important at the time but which were memorable as the story progressed. There were lots of ‘oh yeah, I remember that’ moments.

This is a murder mystery, one which invites the reader to play detective alongside Aiden. However, there is a huge twist…if you’ve read this then you’ll know what I’m referring to. I was shocked when I read it, I would never have guessed! With so many titles in this genre I can honestly say that this book is completely unique!

A wonderful extra can be found at the end where there is the inclusion of an explanation by the author on his inspiration behind the book. It’s a lovely story, it made me smile to read it, and I wish more authors did this too, it’s fascinating to discover how a book came to be.

I’m sure you have guessed by now that I would absolutely recommend this one…to anyone and everyone! Of course it would appeal to fans of thrillers, murder mystery, crime etc but beyond that, I really do think all readers would enjoy it. It’s definitely one of my favourite reads of this year! If you haven’t read it then please get yourself a copy because I’m confident you won’t be disappointed.
