My July in a nutshell

So here we are, already into August! Isn’t it crazy how quickly 2019 is disappearing?!

As we find ourselves in a new month it’s time for another roundup. Keep on reading to find out my highs, lows and standout moments for July.

I would love to hear yours, so please leave a comment if you would like to.

I have seen an increase in engagement here and have also been given an opportunity to review an ARC of an upcoming book (the review of that will be up soon). This has given me so much joy because I love to interact with people, so to see engagement and opportunities come my way this month has left me feeling smiley and with a renewed passion for all things blogging and writing. I’m determined to take this passion forward as the year progresses, here’s hoping that hard work pays off! Also, to everyone that has followed the blog, commented, liked (whether here or on my social media), thank you very much! It means a lot!

The weather. July saw a heatwave grace the UK, so I couldn’t leave that unnoticed! I love the warmer months and the lovely weather has resulted in a positive and motivated frame of mind for me. I’ve been extra careful with sunscreen as well so I have no sunburn or awful tan lines either. This is another positive for me…the struggle of a pale complexion.

Reading. I ticked another book off of my the books I plan on reading this year. I read Widows by Linda La Plante which means I can finally give it back to my mum. It was probably the longest loan of a book ever! It was definitely worth the wait however, I couldn’t put it down once I got started!

My beautiful daughter had to have her 8 week jabs in July. I know they are necessary, (that is the opinion I hold anyway), but it doesn’t make it any easier to see her go through it. She was so brave, barely a cry, but it was an unpleasant experience nonetheless. I was happy to get her home afterwards!

The end of July brought my boyfriend’s birthday. I love to spoil him and his birthday is the perfect opportunity. It’s definitely more special now that we have our daughter to play a part in the celebrations! He’s one of those people that is always thinking of others and putting them before himself so I enjoy his birthday because it is a day where he can be the focus and feel extra special. We spread the celebrations out over a weekend so it was busy but lots of fun! He seemed extremely happy so I think it was a success!

And there you have it, my July in a nutshell. I feel lucky that I get to say again that the highs far outweighed the lows this month, it’s shaping up to be a great year!

How was your July? Are there any highs, lows or standout moments that you would like to share? I would love to hear!
